About Us

The collection is owned by the Hawke's Bay Museums Trust and managed by the Napier City Council.

The Faraday Museum of Technology is run by an enthusiastic team of volunteers who all have a passion for history and technology. Many of our volunteers are retired tradespeople and engineers and love to tinker and fix and build things along with sharing their knowledge with our young and older visitors.

The upkeep of the collection is continuous, so we are always on the look-out for extra hands to help us. If you have an interest in becoming a volunteer, then please contact us.
