The Faraday Centre

Looking for things to do in NAPIER ?

The Faraday Centre in Napier, is Hawke's Bay's Museum of Technology.  It's a place of discovery where history comes alive through hands on experience.  Rather than read and look at pieces of history, we encourage you to touch, hold items, pull levers and truly discover how things would've been in days gone by.  Experience history your way.

COVID-19 Update

The Faraday Centre will be operating under the government traffic light system (also known as COVID Protection Framework) under the orange setting.
As a public facility under this setting, you will not require a My Vaccine Pass for entry.
When visiting us please continue to:
• Wear a face mask
• Scan in using the COVID tracer app (or use the manual recording system)
• Follow physical distancing guidelines
Your health and wellbeing continues to be our top priority, and we are following Ministry of Health guidelines (which includes monitoring capacity numbers) to protect you and ensure your visit to the library is a safe and enjoyable experience.
