The Faraday Centre

Looking for things to do in NAPIER ?

The Faraday Centre in Napier, is Hawke's Bay's Museum of Technology.  It's a place of discovery where history comes alive through hands on experience.  Rather than read and look at pieces of history, we encourage you to touch, hold items, pull levers and truly discover how things would've been in days gone by.  Experience history your way.

COVID-19 Level 2 Update

Due to COVID-19 Level 2 restrictions being in place from 11.59pm on Sunday, 14 February we will be following Ministry of Health guidelines including social distancing and hygiene. This includes limiting the number of people in the building to no more than 100 at any one time, have hand sanitising in place on arrival, and recording contact details. We are looking forward to seeing you, however if you’re feeling unwell, please hold off your visit until your symptoms clear to ensure the safety of our community and staff.
We will also be monitoring the situation and advise if there is to be any changes to our upcoming Art Deco event due to be held on Thursday 18 February. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page to be kept updated.
